There are people of all ages out there that are carrying around extra weight. This is a very serious issue to think about. We don't all have to be skinny and toned like celebrities, but we should do all we can to reduce body fat. When we carry around extra weight, the vital organs of the body have to work much harder than they should. The heart is one of them that can be damaged and that means your quality of life can be reduced.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death for both men and women in the USA. A significantly high number of those individuals were obese and their heart simply wasn't able to recover from the extra work it had to do. As a result, these individuals suffered from a poor quality of life for many years. They also died with a lifespan that was much shorter than it should have been.
When a person is obese, it is harder for them to get around. Simple tasks that many of us take for granted can be tough to complete. Exercise is hard because they don't have very much energy. The fatigue can make it hard to workout, to do daily tasks, and to maintain employment. It can also make it very hard to enjoy various social activities.
We often view obesity as something that is part of us, and that can reduce self confidence. When you don't like what you see in the mirror it can hinder your happiness. You may feel that others are always talking about you. It can be hard for you to engage in personal relationships as you may not think anyone can care about someone that looks like you. Avoiding intimacy is common too due to the way you feel that your body looks.
Obesity in our society is the compilation of several factors. It has to do with the diet in many households. We live in an era where fatty foods including fast food are all too common. Sure, they taste great but they aren't good for the body in terms of offering fuel. A sedentary lifestyle that involves the computer, TV, video games, and even office work all day long reduce physical activity that burns calories....
